Calling Jira Admins: We’d Love Your Input on a New Fields Experience

Hi everyone

I’m part of the team working on modernising the Work Item View, specifically how fields are shown, ordered, and surfaced. We’re exploring a couple of new visibility patterns that aim to reduce clutter while still supporting the flexibility enterprise teams rely on.

Before we move forward, we want to sanity-check our assumptions with the people who feel this most directly: Jira admins managing complex projects with lots of fields.

👋 What we’re looking for

We’d love to speak with Jira admins who manage:

• Large or multi-team projects

• Field-heavy configurations (15+ fields shown on work items)

• Compliance, reporting, or custom workflow requirements

Your perspective will help us shape an experience that works across both lightweight teams and enterprise-scale setups.

Hi Ahmud,

I was able to access the link, and would be happy to provide feedback as our site fits your requirements. Unfortunately none of the slots offered are during regular work hours for those on North American Eastern Time (GMT-5). The time slots start at 6pm and finish at 1am for those of us based in Montreal, New York, etc…

I’m not sure if the Eastern time zone is an important region for feedback, but if it is let us know if you open some earlier time slots.

There don't seem to be any time slots suitable for people in Europe either - they go from 11.30 pm to 6.30am :(

@Ahmud Auleear the link's working now - but as others have said, your timings don't unfortunately allow input from a lot of your customers outside Australian timezones :-(

I'm in the UK, an active user of Jira (Scrum Master) and also our site's main Jira/Site/Org admin - so I view the product from multiple lenses and, as such, would be the type of person you should be trying to include in these conversations where possible.

Can some consideration be given as to how you can include a broader spectrum of users in the study please?
