Hi folks! For those of you who have been a member of this group for awhile, thanks for sticking around! For those that are newer, welcome!
I'm a community strategist here at Atlassian. It's a pretty neat job. One of the first things I noticed about this group - formerly known as New to JSM - is that it had lost a bit of it's identity somewhere along the way.
First, the membership: newbies, old-bies, and medium-bies. People might join when they are new, but then stick around (we like this!)
Second, the content: there are questions being asked and answered. There's also some marketing posts, some community events posts, none of it explicitly geared towards new peeps.
So I set out for a little rebrand. A zhuzh, if you will.
I spoke to leaders (thanks @John Funk @Mikael Sandberg @Robert Nadon @Dirk Ronsmans) and Community Managers ( @Monique vdB @SilkeS @Angelie ) and I also asked you, dear reader, way back in December.
We published a launchpad article for the new folks (shoutout to @Brielle Johnston ) so newbies could still find relevant content.
One other change you may have noticed - the button prompting you to "ask a question" is gone. This is part of a community-wide effort to reinforce the best place to ask questions and get answers is in Product Q&A.
I hope to help bring some interesting content to this group in the coming months. I'm developing internal enablement resources to help Atlassians post interesting, relevant stuff in here, but I'm not a JSM expert. Most of all, I'm listening, so tell me what you'd like to see.
