Hide Confluence Homepage from Service Management Portal

Confluence Spaces have a Page designated as the Space's homepage. Service Management lets you link a Confluence Space to your Service Management project to surface articles to customers.

How can I make the Confluence Space homepage hidden from our customer-facing portal?

The Confluence home page is just a regular page in your Confluence space. You can change that page to be any page in the settings, and delete that existing page. Or you can change that existing page to one you do want to have shown up in the linked Knowledge Base.

You could also use the Page Restrictions and set that page to be restricted.

I tried page restrictions and as the parent it then blocks all other pages.  -unless I am doing something incorrectly but am very frustrated about this at the moment.

To catch up on  Curtis answer, you could also label all confluence pages and limit the request type to specific labels in the KB settings.
