Hi everyone in Higher Ed!
As with many of you, we are working towards deciding how to proceed with Confluence/Jira given that Server is being de-supported in 2024. The choices are pretty clear: Data Center and Cloud.
As we began our due diligence, we learned that currently the only Cloud plan to get a BAA for HIPAA data was their Enterprise plan (https://www.atlassian.com/trust/compliance/resources/hipaa) but there are spirited discussions about trying to get Atlassian to add that to their Standard/Premium Cloud offerings (https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Trust-Security-discussions/Jira-Cloud-amp-HIPAA-Compliance/m-p/1148905). From that community doc, a Jira task was opened looking for support of this endeavor (https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CLOUD-11410). Our request is that others in higher ed who are interested in this offering to Vote for the issue on the Jira so Atlassian can see there are numerous customer stakeholders interested. The only way to sway Atlassian is to broaden the support so your vote matters!
