Hey y'all!
Bryan Guffey here. You may know me from The Atlassian Clinic, the Atlassian Builders' Summit, or the Los Angeles Atlassian Community Events group. If you don't know me, let me share a little bit about myself.
I've been using and administering Atlassian tools for 20 years this year. Started way back in late 2006. I've deployed, run, configured, managed, and designed implementations of every product Atlassian has in nearly every environment there is (this doesn't quite include some of the newer Cloud Products in the last year), and there's not much more I enjoy than learning with my peers and sharing those learnings with others.
Late last year, I joined Dynamo Technologies and am serving as the Jira Management Team lead for a government program. Now, I'm no Data Center newbie, but I had been getting used to the rapid advancements in Cloud. As all of you know, many of us in governments across the world won't be making our moves off of Data Center for quite some time due to the lack of available cloud environments that meet requirements. This comes at the same time Atlassian has clearly stated that they are minimizing their investment in Data Center and setting it on a coast towards EOL/EOS.
But we still have work to do. Now, I know that there will be limits on what we can share or what we can talk about in terms of the specifics of our work, but we can share how we're finding ways to get the best out of aging toolsets while preparing for the future.
So who's with me?
