Hi community,
You’ve told us that you need more notice and control over when changes land in your organisation so you can plan and prepare accordingly to reduce disruption to existing workflows.
Today, we’re excited to share that Goals and Projects now support Atlassian Release Tracks.
If your organisation is on a Premium or Enterprise plan (Jira, Jira Service Management, Jira Product Discovery and Confluence), your admins can now choose how you receive updates for Goals and Projects:
Continuous track: Receive the latest features and improvements as soon as they’re ready (this remains the default).
Bundled track: Receive changes once a month on a predictable schedule (the second Tuesday of each month).
We want to ensure that Goals and Projects scale with your organisation. This update allows admins to preview upcoming changes in the Admin Hub and prepare their teams before new features roll out, reducing disruption and keeping everyone aligned.
If you’re an admin, you can manage these settings now in the Atlassian Admin Hub under Settings > Release Tracks.
To schedule monthly changes for Projects and Goals:
Go to Atlassian Administration. Select your organization if you have more than one.
Select Apps > Release management > Release tracks.
Look for Projects or Goals in the list of supported apps and select the change track option.
Choose the bundled release track to schedule monthly updates.
To view upcoming Projects and Goals changes:
Go to Atlassian Administration. Select your organization if you have more than one.
Select Apps > App updates.
From the App filter, select Projects or Goals.
We will look to support Preview release track and Sandboxes next to provide further options for validation before features are shipped to production environments.
