automating the creation of user mappings

We were bought, so now everyone has a new email address. I have updated everyone's email address in crucible and in git, so all new commits will be fine. But I would like everyone's old commits to show up in crucible also.

It seems like I can create a user mapping and in fact, every user can create their own user mappings. But we have dozens of repos (and dozens of users) and I'd like to find a way to automatically create all of the mappings. I looked through the REST documentation, but I didn't see anything that looked like a way to create a user mapping.

Our AAA is ldap and we are using crowd today. I would be happy to switch from crowd to straight LDAP if that would help. The perfect solution would be to allow for an alternative LDAP property that was a universal user mapping.
