We already have JIRA installed and running as it's own user (jira), now that Crucible+Fisheye are installed how do I have it run at boot as the jira user instead of creating another user for fisheye+crucible?
Should this guide be everything I need? http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/FISHKB/How+to+start+FishEye+and+Crucible+at+boot+time+on+Linux
I followed the instructions there and rebooted, JIRA started on it's own as usual but fecru did not...
Using:
Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid
Jira 5.0
Crucible+Fisheye 2.7.11
I'll answer my own question here: No, FeCru should not be run on the same account as JIRA.
When JIRA is installed it creates a limited shell for the 'jira' user which can only access JIRA data, so it will have no read-write permissions elsewhere for the FeCru installation. Make a separate 'fecru' user for Crucible+Fisheye
