How can I sort my pre-conditions by execution in an automated test?

I write my scripts with Cucumber and create the tests in JIRA...From there I run them through Jenkins..... However, I am writing a test script that has multiple pre-conditions to be executed before the test, however, Jenkins runs the pre-conditions decreasingly according to KEY...

Thinking long term view, how could I modify this order of pre-conditions and have Jenkins run the pre-conditions according to my order criteria?
