We're pleased to announce that Bitbucket DC Helm chart v1.20 onwards comes with an optional OpenSearch sub-chart.
When opensearch.install is enabled in your Helm values file, the Bitbucket Helm chart will install OpenSearch with the default settings:
- single node
- relatively small memory/cpu/storage requests
- the default admin user with an auto-generated password
- no SSL
- OpenSearch service is not exposed (Bitbucket communicates with OpenSearch using its Kubernetes service name)
Bitbucket will be automatically configured to use the deployed OpenSearch cluster for search.
You will find example configurations and how-tos (create custom users, configure SSL etc) in the official documentation.
This configuration is also supported in release 2.9.0 of the Data Center Terraform.
