Atlassian phase out Data Center and only offer cloud solutions?

Got an email stating that Data Center certifications will expire and that it will no longer be possible to get certified. What about those who are not moving to the cloud? Should we start looking for alternative tools instead?

But - maybee the crazyness of the USA at this time has rocked on the EU belives that USA will honor any agreements, thay could prolong stuff onPremise - or make europeans switch to other products like easyredmine.... I for sure would think an extra time - and I have looked at easyredmine - its fine, but its not jira; but on the other hand, sometimes KISS is the point..

Hi @Guro ,

At this time Atlassian has not committed to any timeframe for discontinuation of Datacenter.

They do advertise strongly that they are a Cloud-first company and then it makes sense to start phasing out your Datacenter certifications and focus on Cloud.

Will datacenter remain for the coming 10 years? who knows? They are making constant progress to make their Cloud product better and more in line with DC as well as provide the needed solutions for customers that currently cannot move to Cloud to eventually move.

At the moment, all we know is that the datacenter certifications are going the way of the dodo but nothing else. So we're all just waiting for the hammer to drop (if ever of course)

As far as i see on Atlassian Learning Center , there is no up to date On-Demand trainings  for Datacenter also , there is some but all of them are Team Trainings , i can only find 

Jira Administration Part 1 Data Center, Jira Administration Part 2 Data Center but they do not seem as current. 

Do you have any suggestion about DataCenter related trainings ?

It's disappointing that there aren't on-demand training courses available for this. These products are expensive, and not all companies are in the cloud. The basic functions must be provided in an up-to-date form via such formats.
