Hi @Itamar Ben Sinai

thank you for your question.

Yes, we offer an Isolated Cloud offering for organizations with strict security, compliance, or regulatory requirements. You can learn more about our Isolated Cloud offering by visiting https://www.atlassian.com/enterprise/isolated-cloud.

We also offer several other deployment options, which you can learn more about here.

Hi @Normann P_ Nielsen _Netic_ , thank you for the question. Marketplace Partners may continue to sell new apps and expansions to existing Data Center customers until March 30, 2028. However, Marketplace partners are not required to continue selling Data Center apps through this date.

Partners are obligated to support customers according to the terms of any maintenance they have already purchased. If a partner chooses to retire a Data Center app, they must adhere to Marketplace policy and provide a 90-day notice period.

-Started May 2021 on Jira/Confluence Server

-Spent a bunch of time learning scriptrunner and customizing the instance to the companies needs

-Server EOL announced

-Spend 2 years further customizing since we needed to go to Jira/Confluence DC as cloud isn't an option

-Atlassian failed to get even fedramp moderate prior to EOL of server, let alone with any time ahead of that so I would not be able to think about migrating us to cloud

-Told DC not getting sunsetted soon, forced into quadrupling the price

-Managed to find Carahsoft and negotiate due to being gov't related to get the 250 user tier that isn't publicly available so it was only a doubling in price

-1 year and 7 months later DC EOL announced and initial price calcs are showing a similar or increase in price, with another 'promise' they will have fedramp high by then

I will be strongly pushing for another system

Hi @Gosia Kowalska

I'm writting from a spanish university.

I have a question.

In which European country are the cloud servers, that store all our data, located? Some of it is confidential.

Thank you in advance for your answer.

Hi

https://support.atlassian.com/security-and-access-policies/docs/understand-data-residency/ Seems to be that it is in Germany (Frankfurt), Switzerland (Zürich) and in Dublin.

@Francesca Galera Molina - Please notice not all Apps have Data Residency in Europe, so You data (I do thinks its called "in scope data" can be moved in and out of Europe for the App to process them.

That is often somewhat not spoken of....

Hi @Gosia Kowalska

Before March 28, 2029 catalan institutions will be forced to migrate from DC to the Cloud. However, Catalan is not yet implemented.

Does the Jira Cloud roadmap include Catalan as a native interface language?

Thank you in advance.

I already posted over here . So I won't repeat - only to say that for us, the biggest problem is not so much the location of our data, but the list of basic features that are not available in cloud right now - mostly scriptrunner based "dynamic" features.

It's absolutely vital to us to be able to fully, dynamically control all screens and forms in a scripted way so that our end-users maintain the excellent user experience that we've built for them - and as far as I'm aware, this is simply not possible in cloud right now.

Putting lots of emphasis on AI is great, and maybe at some point it'll pay off - but get the basics in place first. The literal, absolute basics of being able to fully manipulate a form/screen dynamically based on input and data.

I did start up a slack group for everyone in this situation to discuss options (whether that is a new product, internal development, or working through the cloud limitations).

Please e-mail me with some info about yourself/company/situation if you'd like to join.

Think of it as unionization :-D Unless you don't like unions - then just think of it as talking to friends about your work, and your evil overlords :)

@Dan C - Best. Post. Ever!

There are many reasons not to go to the Cloud. We've all seen them and even commented on them, lack of features, extra charges, don't own our data, etc. However, Atlassian has shown us over the years that they really don't care about what the customers want (like most evil corps). AND now with their heavy investment in AI, they are showing us yet again that they do not care about us Admins. Gobble up AI companies so you can sell AI to customers, so they don't need a Jira Admin.

This whole move, the end of DC and the push for AI is yet another blow to the white-collar job/career tree. I've said it before, when AI and robots are doing everything and we are out of jobs, who's going to buy the S*** that makes these CEO's wealthy? For example, Atlassian gets rid of the Jira Admin and companies start using their AI tools. Then they realize they don't need as many employees, so they lay off people. But then they realize that they don't need to buy as much from Atlassian...so they downgrade or go ala carte. Now the C-Suite at Atlassian are worried because nobody is buying their stuff. Then AI comes for their jobs. Think about it...why would a company need a CFO (Money and numbers) when AI can do it for free and just as good? Well maybe not just as good yet, but it's coming.

AI has destroyed so much already, and it's just getting started. Now throw in DC going away for this career and you are left with a broken career/shattered lives. :(
