In data center, security lived close to the infrastructure. Firewalls, network segmentation, and physical access controls gave teams a familiar sense of protection.
In cloud? The control surface changes. βοΈ
I've worked with organizations where the assumption was "the platform handles security" - until identity access quietly expanded, token governance fell through the cracks, shadow AI tools appeared, and compliance gaps emerged. Not because of a single failure, but because security wasn't designed into the cloud operating model from the start.
That's what I'm calling Security by Design, and it's one of the most critical (and most overlooked) disciplines as organizations scale in the cloud. β οΈ
I'm hosting an upcoming live session - Security by Design: Strengthening Your Cloud Posture Without Slowing Teams - where we'll dig into:
If you've felt the friction of unclear access policies, ungoverned AI adoption, or compliance uncertainty - this one's for you.
