Portfolio Insights Goes GA—Unlock Data Center Optimization and Cloud Readiness Insights

I'm Mateusz Miodek, Product Manager for Data Center. I'm thrilled to announce that Portfolio Insights is now generally available at no additional cost to all Data Center customers with an Atlassian organization.

This release is particularly timely as many of you evaluate your long-term plans following our recent Data Center EoL announcement.

Whether you're focusing on optimizing your current environment or planning cloud transition, Portfolio Insights is here to help with insights and recommendations.

Since our beta release, hundreds of admins have used Portfolio Insights. Now, with the general availability release, we are offering new capabilities while making the entire experience more robust and reliable.

With Portfolio Insights, you can:

Optimize ahead of migration

Get recommendations on how to keep your Jira and Confluence Data Center instances healthy and high-performing until you’re ready to migrate.

Visualize your Atlassian footprint

View your Jira and Confluence environments across cloud and Data Center in one dashboard to take stock of your Atlassian footprint and clearly plan your cloud migration.

Plan smarter migrations

Identify which Data Center instances are ready for migration and which require cleanup. For sites needing improvement, you also get guided recommendations to address these gaps so you can migrate confidently and have an optimal cloud experience.

What's new in GA

Optimization recommendations for Confluence

Monitor metrics and guardrails, and get recommendations tailored to Confluence environments.

Optimization Score

Quickly assess your instance's optimization potential with the instance Optimization Score.

Track optimization progress over time using the weekly Optimization Score chart.

Expanded cloud readiness assessment

Migration insights for Jira and Confluence Data Center now include assessments for users and groups, media and attachments, Confluence nested body macros, Jira boards and filters, and Automation rules, in addition to core data.

Cloud readiness assessment for Marketplace apps

Portfolio Insights now assesses the cloud readiness of Xray Test Management for Jira, Zephyr—Test Management and Automation for Jira, and ScriptRunner for Jira. We plan to expand this list to include assessments for additional Marketplace apps.

We're continuing to improve instance optimization with features you've been asking for:

• More Marketplace app performance, cloud readiness insights, and recommendations

• Performance metrics for key experiences

• Manual uploads to enable optimization recommendations without a cloud connection

• More automated optimization actions

How do I get started?

Admins with organization-level permissions can access Portfolio Insights in Atlassian Administration by going to (admin.atlassian.com > Insights > Portfolio Insights). Learn more about how to get started.
