There is no option to achieve that through the UI, just doing some code changes. I raised a feature request for it, and you can check it here.

Feel free to post any comments there, it will reach the developers directly.

It looks like it can't be done without some coding. I checked for confluence and I found this documentation:

https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/CONFKB/How+to+Disable+Profile+Editing+by+Users

Maybe it can be used to same changes on Crowd.

At least for now the only way is to do some "underground" changes. Not possible from inside.

Ok thats an Idea, i can edit the file edit_profiles.jsp .

but can I am searching for something like global settings
