When I moved my Crowd server from Windows to Ubuntu either I lost the encryption key or something didn't transfer properly. While Crowd is working, I can't get some areas to function I believe due to this missing encryption key. 

How can I regenerate a key for the new Crowd instance/location?

@Neal Culiner you will need to start Crowd in recover mode.  https://support.atlassian.com/crowd/kb/restore-passwords-to-recover-admin-user-rights-using-system-properties/
