I understand you are seeing an error in the log when Tomcat starts. Is there any issue with the performance of the instance or is it a case of proactively checking the logs?

Please see the first point Chris Fuller makes on Exception starting filter CrowdSecurityFilter. Have you made changes to the Tomcat web.xml file?
