How do I setup a Microsoft AD directory connector without importing groups and users?

Hi all,

I am setting up a directory connector for Microsoft AD. Everything works great, but I would like to set it up so it does not pull the groups and users from AD and just authenticates against it. Is this even possible? I am not able to find the information I need and wanted to ask the community.

Hi @Tim Perrault ,

You could avoid to import groups just defining a filter that not find any group. About users, they should be imported on crowd side (in read-only mode) in a delegated authentication directory (https://confluence.atlassian.com/crowd/configuring-a-delegated-authentication-directory-128287004.html#:~:text=A%20Delegated%20Authentication%20directory%20combines,users%20and%20groups%20in%20Crowd. )
