Add group into group

Is it possible to create a group that has members of other groups?   

I wan to ease the Jira nad Confleucne management when access to one recource is required for serveral groups. 

User 1,2, 3 - Workgroup 1

User 4,5,6 - Workgroup 2

Master Group   - Workgroup 1 and Workgroup 2

Nested groups are only supported when Jira/Confluence is connected to an LDAP, with the embedded AD this is not possible here is the suggestion for you to vote Nesting groups within groups.

for my knowledge you can enable nested groups also for crowd internal directory not linked to AD
