what's the best strategy in picking the correct widgets for a teams confluence page? Should it reflect the team board - which is already represented in jira?

Mirroring the Jira board on the Confluence page is not necessarily the best approach. While they can be complementary, they serve different purposes:

• Jira Board: Real-time tracking of project tasks, workflow visualization, and assignment management.
• Confluence Page: Comprehensive information hub for the team, capturing decisions, strategies, meeting notes, and other non-task-specific details.

To find out which Widgets you might need, you can do the following:

1. Identify the page's goal: What information or functionality does the team need access to?
2. Choose relevant widgets: Select widgets that support the page's goal.exclamation Confluence offers various widgets like:
   • Text: Display essential information like team mission, goals, or contact details.
   • Macros: Integrate other applications like Jira, calendars, or surveys.
   • Embeds: Include relevant Jira boards or other visual elements.
   • Recent Changes: Keep the team informed about recent page updates.exclamation
   • Social macros: Encourage collaboration with features like polls, likes, and comments.
3. Prioritize clarity and focus: Avoid information overload. Use a few well-chosen widgets to present key information effectively.

@gautamdogra That is a great question.  It really has to do more with how you are using Confluence with your team.  For instance on a project you might have a page that display at risk issues and contains the following:

• Meeting Notes
• Decision Logs
• Documentation
• Help Documents
• Etc.

What are you using Jira for?  What will your team be doing in it?  Once you answer that I can make some recommendations on how to use Confluence to help your team collaborate and work more efficiently.
