I am trying to create a table of contents to link to headers on the page to direct readers to a specific section. When I use Anchors, it is not visible when I publish and when I use Table of contents, it duplicates the section and send the reader to another page. Please help!

Hi @Laura Matteliano,

  • Table of Contents and Anchor are two different features. You can use them together or separately.
  • If you use Table of Contents macro, all the Headers used in that page will be automatically captured in the Table of Contents macro and the user will be able to see the headers at a single place. This is useful, when the page is lengthy and bulky
  • Anchor provides the user an option to directly go to any desired location in the page.
  • If you are trying to use both for directly going to headers, then I agree with you that the functionality is duplicated. But typically, we use Anchor for non-headers area and Table of Contents for headers.
