using CLI to delete spaces that are marked as 'archived'

Computing Services October 2, 2018

Hi everyone,

I have been playing around with the CLI but I wanted to ask if it was possible to acutally use it to remove spaces that have been marked as 'archived' in the space details. I have had a look around and it looks like you can do that with the archive plugin.. but i'm looking for a free way of doing this.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Llew,

Can you let us know which CLI you're using exactly? We can get the team involved in that add-on here to offer you advice.

As for within Confluence, you could try to manually delete the spaces marked as archived, but this is not recommended. If you do decide to go that route I would recommend that you:

  1. Make a backup of your Confluence instance
  2. Test it first on a staging instance
  3. Stop Confluence completely before running any database changes

Let us know if you have any questions.

Shannon
