users that use Trello and Jira lost their ability to manage their users and seem to be redirected

kbazan November 18, 2025

in Confluence, maybe since we went to the cloud version, users that use Trello and Jira lost their ability to manage their users and seem to be redirected to ITS_Atlassian Cloud.

From one of our users:

"We are having issues getting people logged-into our Jira ticketing system as it's now requiring folks to go through "CNM-ITS Atlassian Cloud" I am attaching an image of the error we keep seeing. If someone could please reach out and explain what this is I would appreciate it so we can figure out how to separate this permission from our system as we do not have SSO enabled for this product and we don't need it."

and another request said:

"I am a new Grant Writer in the Grants Management and Critical Proposals Office. I am attempting to create an account on Trello.com, a task/project management tool, using my company email. My supervisor advised me to submit a request to be able to create this account linked to my company email. Below are details copied from the "access blocked" message that appeared when I tried to create the Trello account. Thanks!

Message: AADSTS50105: Your administrator has configured the application CNM-ITS Atlassian Cloud ('b2789cd0-e4c2-4df9-8376-fb4077496d87') to block users unless they are specifically granted ('assigned') access to the application. The signed in user 'wlaughlin@cnm.edu' is blocked because they are not a direct member of a group with access, nor had access directly assigned by an administrator. Please contact your administrator to assign access to this application."

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Hi @kbazan

Are you the admin? If so this doc may help with how to set up permissions

https://support.atlassian.com/jira-cloud-administration/docs/manage-users-groups-permissions-and-roles-in-jira-cloud/

If not, you'll need to track down the admin for your instance and chat about assigning your users to your apps/groups/permissions etc.
