sql server 2014 support / Confluence

This version of MS SQL Server is not listed among the supported platforms. However I would be interested to know if anyone has ever tried to install Confluence with SQL Server 2014 and if so whether any issue should be expected?

Hi Emmanuel,

I have installed SQL server 2014 and tested some Confluence instance in the last months and I haven't noticed any critical issue on the application. The new database should work with Confluence however we didn't run all the tests we do on supported databases to confirm that. An unsupported database may work without any issues but if we find some bug/issue when using this database, we won't be able to fill a bug report to be fixed since it's not listed in the supported platforms.

For production systems, I always recommend to stick with the supported platforms to be safer.
