special characters in the search box drop-down?

when I key in a search word, a special chars will be shown in the pre-populated drop-down box. I checked the original page and no special chars/symbol at all.

Any help on this will be highly appreciated.

Thank you for contacting us about this issue! I've had a look into this, and it appears that it is a bug ticket in Confluence Livesearch Macro:

• CONFSERVER-55368 Livesearch Macro search results displays ' instead of apostrophe (Server)
• CONFCLOUD-52697 Livesearch Macro search results displays ' instead of apostrophe (Cloud)

At this time, there is not a workaround, and it appears that it should only occur in the Livesearch Macro.

Can you confirm the same does not occur when you use the quick search at the top?

Can you also confirm your Confluence version so I can add it as a case to the bug tickets?
