Hello!
What values should I set to LC_COLLATE = and LC_CTYPE =?
It is not possible to set values from the manual (LC_COLLATE = 'ru_RU.UTF-8' LC_CTYPE = 'ru_RU.UTF-8') Only ENCODING 'UTF-8' is correctly set. The rest is russian_Russian.1251
Windows has some difficulties with UTF-8
I apologize if I could not understand the previous answers.
I don’t know how the search should work in detail, but it seems to me that I’m not always looking for parts in words
The main language of my Confluence is Russian. Most of the content is in Russian, but many English words are also used. It is necessary that the search works correctly with two languages.
Will it work out?
Or all panic in vain and with meanings LC_COLLATE = 'russian_Russian.1251' LC_CTYPE = 'russian_Russian.1251' will everything work stably and without surprises?
Hello there!
You instance should work with the collation available. Our documentation needs an update and it has already been reported:
CONFSERVER-57749 | Correct encoding requirements for Windows users on installation with PostgreSQL
According to PostgreSQL documentation, UTF-8 encoding can be used with any locale. So you should be good to go with russian_Russian.1251.
As a good course of action, I suggest that you vote and watch that report. Voting will increase the report visibility and Watching will keep you up to date with everything.
Looking forward to your reply!
Thanks for the answer!
I will calmly use the current settings ))
