restrictions dropdown does not work

In one of the Spaces in Confluence, the page restrictions dropdown (to select between No Restrictions, Editing Restrictions, View and Edit Restrictions) suddenly does not work. How can I get it to work properly?

Yes, I checked and the restricting pages is allowed for these users. But if it were not allowed, the popup would not display. In my case the Restrictions dialogue appears but the dropdown does not work.

yes, you're right. Some question to get nearer to the problem:

Do you have this problem on every page in that space? What happens, if you click on the dropdown? Nothing or is there an error?

What does the restriction icon look like?  Can you edit the page otherwise? 

Did it work yesterday? You said, it stopped working suddenly. Maybe the home page of your space is restricted?

Strangest thing - I went to check the different operations that you asked about, and the dropdown started working again.
