"Create Space" not available

I want to create a team space. When I open my space menu ("Bereiche") the option "create space" ("Bereich anlegen"?) is not shown.  How do I get the  'Create Space' global permission?

This suggests you do not have permission to create spaces.

Check with your admins if you are (or should be) in one of the groups who have the global permission to create spaces.
