Hi
When a Confluence page is opened directly from a hyperlink or pasted URL, the “Browse for files” option for uploading attachments does not work.
Attachment-related iframe contexts are missing when the page is opened via direct URL
If the same page is accessed by first going to the space root and then navigating to it through the page tree, the “Browse for files” link works correctly.
The issue started yesterday (1/16)
Thanks.
This is a Confluence frontend loading bug where the attachment iframe doesn’t initialize when a page is opened directly via URL, so the Browse uploader fails. Accessing the page through the space tree forces the full context to load, which is why it works there. Temporary workaround: navigate via the space first or use drag-and-drop until Atlassian fixes it.
Do you know whether Atlassian/Confluence is already aware of this issue? If not, is there a recommended way to officially report or escalate this issue to Atlassian so it can be tracked and fixed?
I just want to make sure this is on their radar.
Thanks again for your help.

We encountered the same issue. Our workaround is to open the page attachment view:
This view will list all files attached to the page, including their versions, upload dates, and authors. Browsing files and Drag and Drop works as expected here.

This worked! Thank you for the workaround
