Once I have gathered requirements, can I do a pairwise analysis within confluence to evaluate different options which may meet the requirements?

Yes.  Probably.

I'm afraid there is not a lot more to answer here.  Confluence can do all sorts of things, but without an actual description of what you are trying to do, and, more importantly, how, there's not a lot more we can tell you.
