Hello,
I hope I have the right place to ask this. I'm attempting to look at an old version of a file in a file list and when I click on it I get "page not found"
It's a page and parent page I have created. Any ideas?
Hello Steve and welcome to the Community!
To understand a bit more about the issue you’re facing with attachments reporting “page not found”, we’ll need a bit more information to case down. We need to understand where exactly you’re attempting to view the attachments within Confluence cloud. Additionally, screenshot (with sensitive information removed) can be very helpful when attempting to find where this is happening.
With this said, could you please provide further context around how you navigate to the attachment and what leads up to the “page not found” error?
We look forward to hearing back so we may test and see if we’re able to find the cause of this issue.
Regards,
Stephen Sifers
thanks for getting back to me. The situation is we keep a record of timelines in .PDF file format as our projects evolve. I'm trying to access an old version of a timeline and all the old versions (red circled) link to a "page not found"
Have I lost these files?

Hello Steve,
Thank you for providing the additional information along with a screenshot. We do see you’re using the file attachment macro and we want to ensure this is not the cause of the problem. Could you navigate to the page attachment itself within Confluence and attempt to access the attachments?
Additional information can be found at Upload files.
Something else to consider would be the special characters within the name that may be causing a problem. There is a reported bug which may be causing the issue you’re seeing. You may find this bug at CONFCLOUD-41050 and CONFCLOUD-54608. Please review these to see if you’re having a similar issue.
We look forward to hearing back to help find the cause of your page not found issues.
Regards,
Stephen Sifers
