Hello,

we have the following scenario:

A customer calls in. Our PBX open the browser with the URL to do a search in Confluence. The URL contains the callers number as search query. The callers number is also part of a confluence site. So we have a exact match. How can i configure the search to open this specific page instead of showing the site with search results?

Thanks in advance

Hi Dirk,

It's not possible to change the Confluence search in this way.

What you're looking for may be possible through this feature request:

  • CONFSERVER-14910 Provide ability to override Lucene tokenisation and stemming and search for exact text (literal search)

While it is up for future consideration, you should be aware that this feature request has been open for several years now, so it may not likely be in the near future.

I would recommend having a look at the other search-related add-ons in Confluence, as these might better help you with what you require. I'm also tagging the marketplace collection in this question, in case any users have a specific add-on that they recommend.

Regards,

Shannon
