mysql events table too large

confluence backup always fail, check the database find EVENTS table too large.  > 11G. what's the contents in EVENTS table? can i purge some data in the table?

Hello @louis zhu,

I hope you are doing well. Are you still encountering an issue with a large EVENTS table? 

It reminded me of this issue, where we discuss a way to append your Synchrony tables:

  • CONFSERVER-45745 Huge number of content inside Confluence causes Page Editing and Collaborative Editing to load really slow

Under Notes and Research, note the following article.

Please have a look at that, and see if it is able to help you reduce your table size.
