I'm using Mac OS X 15.5.5 and try to create a blog entry.

I choose "Create" button to start my blog entry, put the title and then when I put some text into the body and hit the key "backspace" or "enter" the browser freezes and cannot continue my editing. Pretty nasty.

I tried with "Chrome Versión 83.0.4103.97 (Build oficial) (64 bits)" and with "Safari Versión 13.1.1 (15609.2.9.1.2)".

I've got the site-admins as I thought it was something about privileges.

Also I updated JAVA 8 Update 251.

Of course I tried deleting cache, reboot, and all common stuff.

Any ideas?

Tx.

Hello Ed,

Thank you for reporting this to us, and i'm sorry to hear how this is preventing you from writing a blog post.

I've tried to replicate this myself, but I was not able to, despite using the same OS version and browser.

  1. Does this only happen when creating pages using the Blog template, or do you encounter this issue with other templates?
  2. Is the problem specific to creating pages in a certain space, or does it occur with all spaces?
  3. Are other users on the site having the same issue?
  4. If not, and if that user logs into your computer, do they have the problem?
  5. Are you able to replicate the behavior on another computer?
  6. Does the problem occur across multiple internet connections and networks?
  7. Do you also encounter the issue when using Incognito or Private Browsing modes, and with all browser add-ons uninstalled?

It can also help if you generate a HAR file while replicating the problem. You will then be able to have a look at that file and see what could be causing the freezing.

Looking forward to hearing from you on this.

Take care,

Shannon
