is it possible to turn off notification emails when comments are deleted?
We are using comments to request changes to a page; once the comment is addressed we reply to the requester's comment to advise them it's addressed and then delete the two comments. However, the requester gets an email for both comments that are deleted.
Doesn't look like a good idea. Have you looked at inline comments instead?
They disappear once resolved and you still can trace them if needed.
