Hi - I understand you cannot log into Confluence. You are using an external Active Directory user directory to manage users and the authentication via AD is failing. You don't have an admin user in the internal Confluence user directory.

If you are using Confluence 6.5.0 or previous versions, please use the SQL queries from: Restore Passwords To Recover Admin User Rights to create an admin user and otherwise set up the instance so you can log in (by enabling the internal directory, setting the admin password, etc.) Please go through all the steps rather than skipping to creating an admin user.

If you are using Confluence 6.5.1 or above, you can use the new method of creating a virtual user directory with a temporary admin account, as described in this article: Restore Passwords To Recover Admin User Rights

I look forward to hearing how it goes.

Thanks,

Ann
