installation database

Alexander Theiss January 15, 2013

we are installing confluence for the first time and need support to install the database-

The SQL-database we use works with MyISAM and this is not supported.

We need some advice how to move on.

Is it possible to have an onlinehelp or a telephone support?

Hi,

As mentioned in the support ticket, you can set the default storage engine of MySQL to InnoDB in the configuration, please refer to the following documentation: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/DOC/Database+Setup+For+MySQL

Otherwise, you can convert a database that is already in MyISAM, you can use this method to convert it: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/CONFKB/Convert+from+MySQL+MyISAM+to+InnoDB+tables

Regards,

Peter
