I would like to get data around visit, clicks, etc. around page visits. Is there a way to do this?
Jay
Hello there!
So Jay, I would like to start by differentiating Confluence Cloud From Confluence Server. In Confluence server, we have native and also third-party plugins that allow us to fetch that data.
In Confluence Cloud, however, we need to rely on third-party apps.
If you want to understand a little more about Confluence Server and Cloud differences, you can check this page:
Now, let me start with Confluence Server Options. Natively we the have Global Activity tool. It shows us basic data such as:
By default, the app responsible for this tool is disabled since it can affect the Performance Of Bigger Instances. For you to enable it, we need to:
- Click the Cog Icon > Apps
- Select All Apps
- Search for Confluence Usage Stats Plugin
- Enable it
After enabling, we can check the data here:
- Click the Cog Icon > General configuration
- Search for Global Activity
Keep in mind that this feature Can Slowdown Your Instance, depending on instance size and available resources on your server.
There are other ways of getting analytics from Confluence. You can check further information about possibilities here:
In the other hand, there is no native method to fetch this from Confluence Cloud. We need to Rely On Third-Party Apps, such as these two:
For Confluence Server we also have third-party apps that can help with this objective:
So Jay, let us know if this helps you out. Looking forward to your reply!
