how do i disable users?

Salvio

The procedure to disable users is described here

https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/delete-or-disable-users-138318.html#DeleteorDisableUsers-Disableauseraccount

The issue is that I do not see the mentioned "disable" option and see instead these three

  • Revoke site access
  • Add user to group
  • Show product access

Any suggestions on how to proceed?

My goal is to disable some of my users who are currently inactive on confluence and lower my bill. I do not want to delete them because they may become active again in future.

Thank you!

Hey @Salvio, welcome to the Atlassian Community!

You landed on the documentation for Confluence Server, the on prem version of Confluence. It is a little bit different from Confluence Cloud, so the same goes for the user management.

To revoke a users access to confluence without deleting them you can remove their product access: Manage product access.

Should you work with Organizations for Cloud check out Deactivate a managed account.

Cheers
Nick
