how do i access my companies confluence server using the confluence app?

Deleted user March 16, 2019

I have downloaded the confluence app for Ipad. It asks me to input my site URL, which I do and it is correct (I know it is as i can access it on internet explorer on my mac) but it returns the message:

Can't connect to your site

this could be because URL is wrong, you need to use a VPN, or Confluence is unavailable.

Hi @[deleted]

Is the Confluence Server instance version Confluence 6.8 and later?

Thanks

Hi Danny, yes it’s the latest version available on the App Store. The issue was becuase of a lack of VPN, which I sorted. Now it seems Apple have blocked me accessing the page because the certificate is untrusted. I’ve tried to add it as a trusted certificate but it won’t allow - any ideas?

Thanks for reply!

If you enter the site URL in Safari on the ipad, what happens? My guess, your server is behind a firewall & you need a VPN access & possibly some firewall changes to access him.

One question: Is there an internet explorer on a mac?

Your company is probably using a self-signed certificate. Not sure if this is related to Apple or the Confluence mobile app not allowing untrusted certificates.

@[deleted] was asking for the version of the Confluence server. If you open the server URL with safari on your iPad, it should be displayed at the bottom of the login page.
