A while after a page tree had been moved to a newly created space, we noticed that we could not publish edited pages, the system notified that this page already existed. We checked and found pages exist twice in two different versions.
I know pages with the same title are not permitted, but still they exist. The difference is only the ID as seen in the page link and the older one gets a popup stating "This page is expired". Via search I also find both pages with the exact same title. Yet both pages are neither archived nor deleted.
How do I get rid of those expired "ghosts", and how did they come to existence in the first place?
