delete space

I am a space and site admin but I cannot delete a space.

That screenshot strongly implies that you are not a space admin for this space.  If you were, you'd have lots more tabs alongside overview/content tools, and, of course, the missing "delete space" tab next to space details.

I'd re-check the permissions on the system.
