default template in Confluence

I have created a simple template that I'd like to be the default for all my users whenever they create a new page (Add page or hit "c" on the keyboard).

I don't mind if they edit the new page to remove the default macros, I just want the macros to be there from the start.

How do I make my template be embedded automatically?

There is currently a feature request open for this: CONF-3697

Unfortunately the workarounds won't be any good for you, they all rely on creating specific links and won't work by default.

Maybe someone else can suggest if there is a way of intercepting the create page actions?
