How do I include the contents of specific cells on specific locations in my Confluence page
What I would like to do is the following:
we will have to make several reports that will contain the same information at certain locations.
For example paragraphs 2, 4, 10 and 11 are other paragraphs in other reports but contain exactly the same information. However, the reports are specific for every product we manufacture, so the information contained in those paragraphs is also specific per product.
We have more than hundred products, each with, let's say, 10 of those paragraphs.
We wanted to do this with the excerpt + Excerpt include function. But then we have to create several hundreds of pages with just a sentence or a few words.
I was wondering if there might be a better way.
Basing on an excel was one of the ideas, but maybe Confluence offers other possibilities to implement this?
The ConfiDoc: I searched how to install it but didn't find it.
Kind regards,
and Thanks !
Okay, I see. With this use case, I'm not pretty sure that ConfiDoc is the right plugin to fulfill your wishes :)
With ConfiDoc you cannot directly connect to an excel, but perhaps it would be an option to set the paragraphs in a SQL-DB or an XML. Documentation for ConfiDoc ist here
I like the excerpts way. Perhaps this plugin is better for you, there you can set up multiple excerpts per page. MultiExcerpt. This plugin I do not know :)
And here you find how to install confluence plugins. Make sure you are administrator of the confluence. Otherwise, you can't install plugins.

Dear Dominic,
I tried it out and it seems that MultiExcerpt is what we need, thank you!
Also thank you for the links to how-to-install confluence plugins!

What exactly do you want to try?
A good plugin is ConfiDoc. With this you can include, transform, aggregate and show the content from different sources in Confluence. But Excel is not supported --> CSV is.
You have to app link the source in confluence.
Perhaps this would be a good solution
