confluence does not start

I access to my confluence page through : http://localhost:8090/display/VOK/Vokaris

But I could not access to server.

Confluence display this page :

Couldn't lock file 'lock' in directory C:\Program Files\Atlassian\Application Data\Confluence Make sure the directory is not being used by another Confluence instance.

My colleague noticed an other issues :

BootstrapException: Unable to bootstrap application: Couldn't save confluence.cfg.xml to C:\Program Files\Atlassian\Application Data\Confluence directory.

Hi @Chandrasegaran Parassouramane ,

This could be caused by an existing Confluence process running or the previous process not being killed properly. As the previous lock is still in place, Confluence is not able to start properly.

Stop the confluence application.

Navigate to the directory in the error message.

Delete the lock file

Restart confluence.
