confluence-administrators group does not translate to Active Directory

confluence-administrators group does not translate to Active Directory. We have an external directory setup, with an Atlassian OU, etc. The directory is read only, with local groups in Confluence... AND I see multiple groups from AD inside the "Groups" section of "Users and Security"........ However the users in the "confluence-administrators" group in AD do not correlate with the one system admin account in the group in confluence.

From my experience with a very similar setup confluence groups don’t replicate back into Active Directory or LDAP directories. It’s a step that is admins just have to do manually when setting up users in confluence. I see this as a security feature in a way because you only give admin to those you want to.
