companion app

companion app closes the session once you click on the upload button but the file stays open locally e.g in excel for further editing. If you edit the file after uploading and save it, the upload dialog does not appear again.

Changes are lost once the file is closed. 

is this a known bug? or does this works as desiged?

Where are the changes stored locally? How can I recover the 2nd edit? I could not find any excel file under the installation folder at  %USERPROFILE%.

Thank you for contacting us.

This is a known behavior unfortunately, but we do have a feature request to allow multiple saves below:

• CONFSERVER-56549 Allow Edit with functionality to perform multiple saves and uploads of the document even after clicking upload in the companion app

I recommend voting on this to help us gauge interest in this feature. You will then be automatically added to the Watchers and receive any updates in the future.
