cloud vs data center version

hello - can someone confirm why the UI and features so different on the cloud version of confluence vs what I get from 7.x version on confluence server/data center? 

is there anyway to get the cloud version in DC?

Server and Cloud's code bases diverged years ago, they're intended for different architectures and different types of customer.  Their data is compatible and they do roughly the same jobs, but you should think of tham as two totally different pieces of software.

You can not run the Cloud version on your own hardware.  The whole point of it is that it is Software as a Service, not software you run.
