@Harshini T Confluence is an enterprise wiki, which includes the ability to manage files (as attachments to pages). Attachments on the same page, with the same name are versioned. Confluence is also extendable and there may be existing apps (some free, others commercial) that can support your specific information management requirements. Check the marketplace https://marketplace.atlassian.com/
In respect to backup, you've indicated that are using Confluence Cloud - this is a managed service, so please refer to the following information about how Atlassian backup your content https://confluence.atlassian.com/cloud/data-storage-faq-873871367.html#DatastorageFAQ-HowoftenisdatabackedupHowoftenisAtlassianClouddatabackedup?
As @Nic Brough -Adaptavist- indicated, you are free to make copies of your site as required https://confluence.atlassian.com/confcloud/create-a-site-backup-724765526.html but this isn't intended to provide you with an automated backup (you are already paying Atlassian to do this for you).

Hi there,
You can attach any file type to Confluence, including DWG - there are no restrictions on uploads. The limitation is that Confluence can't preview DWG files natively, so your team would have to download them and open in AutoCAD (or a compatible viewer) to see the drawing.
If you want DWG files to be viewable directly inside Confluence pages, CAD 2D and 3D Model Viewer for Confluence handles this. It renders DWG, DXF, and 70+ other formats (including SolidWorks, Inventor, Revit, STEP, STL, and more) as interactive previews — so anyone on the team can view drawings without needing AutoCAD installed.
Here's the getting started guide if you'd like to try it out.
Cheers,
Leo
