I was trying to edit a page and when I publish, I get a warning that I will be publishing someone else's draft.

I think this 'feature' is fairly new as I never had 'issue' like this in the past 5 years using confluence. As a space admin, is there anyway to disable this new 'feature' that automatically keeping drafts?

If people make changes on a page, then leaving the page without publishing. It is OK for us to permanently discard those changes. Like the old days.

Hi @Sunny Wong

You are seeing that warning because of the feature Collaborative editing is ON on your Confluence.

You should see How Do Drafts Work on Confluence here.

Confluence version 6.0 or later
The Collaborative editing feature was first introduced in Confluence 6.0. When this feature is turned ON, Confluence autosaves both drafts and unpublished changes every 30 seconds as the default interval. Regardless if you were interrupted, navigated away from or accidentally closed the Confluence editor tab, your content is retained for you to resume editing when you're ready. If you would like to save your drafts or unpublished changes, click on the 'Close' button on the bottom-right of the editor and then choose 'Keep draft'.

Cheers,
